404 error after Akeeba Backup

OK, getting somewhere now.

It seems Akeeba has changed the .htaccess back to htaccess.txt.

Sadly, I can't change it in File Manager and the ftp is playing up! I'll keep trying and let you know on here so that other users have a solution.

Thanks for your help and I'll be buying once this is resolved :)

Waiting to hear back from hosting support...

In the meantime, I copied over the .htaccess from the test site. This has now worked for other tabs but the Events tab is returning a non sef url?

Maybe there was error too in permission on file and folder...
You can check permissions via ftp ;-)

This strange that akeeba change htaccess, i'm not sure it can be responsible of this... It could an other issue too!
