OK, I think I know where I went wrong when editing the attachment field. I called com_media manager and got a window like that
,

while the thing I need is a file browser:
.

But this one comes from JCE... I'll see what I can do about it.

So, if you need file browser from JCE, you can just not use attachment field from iCagenda, and include you file donwload link directly into the description field ;-)

And, you can too create a style attribute in your css, to give a better look (eg. a button) to your link, inserted into description.

And actually this is what I'll do. Although if I learn more php and have some free time I'll think again about tweaking it.

Anyway, thanks for your extensive help.

In my roadmap, i wish to work on a special file download with options. But, this as an image gallery, media insertion, is something i want to add, but only after main features will be implemented, so maybe not before some months! (a i have already a lot of job to enhance main feature!)
Currently, media manager of Joomla is not well developped, but, it is in the joomla future developpement roadmap, and developpers of Joomla are already working on enhancements of the media manager, so maybe in a near future (and i'm sure of that!) there will be much more possibilities too for file management ;-)

But, for the 6 months to come, there will be many updates of iCagenda, and my objective is still to be a complete, flexible and simple extension, to suite all purposes and needs! ;-)
And keep being easy of use! :cheer:
