Hi,
First post/new user… testing on localhost before replacing current calendar on live-site…
One of my site’s users is a bit fussy, so how do I display an event’s end time on a tooltip and on the main list, please? All of my events are less than one day long so I don’t need to display the end date.
Loving this extension and will be subscribing to Pro version once my current calendar’s subscription expires
Many thanks,
John V

Hello,
So, welcome and thank you for using iCagenda!
Do you use the default theme pack or the ic_rounded one? As a bit more detailled dates and time displayed in the main list of events.
And if you use a period where start date and end date is the same, and only the time is different, so it should display it like this: Monday, 27 October 2025 15:37 - 19:37
Best regards,
Cyril

Hi,
Thank you for the quick reply. Like I said, new to iCagenda just finding my way…
I’ve changed the Calendar Module’s theme pack to ic_rounded but the end time doesn’t show in the tooltip (start and end date same as you suggested). Does doing this change the Theme Pack for the whole component?
Also, and sorry for the extra question, what settings do I need for the Events List to show stat and end times, please? It’s on your Demo site so I know it’s possible
Thank you for your time.

Oh yes, sorry, i missed you ask for both calendar tooltip AND main list of events, and didn't answer for tooltip from the calendar module...
So, it's not possible today without custom PHP code, but i'm working on a new module calendar (full new) that will be added in the upcoming version 4.0 (i'm packaging the 4.0-beta1 this week for users with a pro subscription, and i expect a stable release by the end of November... if eveything goes as expected...).
The possible to show end date and/or time will be included in this new module calendar
Best regards,
Cyril

So, you will be able next month to test the 4.0 beta version with a pro subscription. You may notice a big improvement in performance as well!

I’ve spent some time today adding some categories and events in v3.9.14… If I were to take out a Pro subscription tomorrow (I’ve stopped today
), would I be able to install the v4.0 Beta over v3.9.14 and, in turn, the final release over the Beta?
Happy to test, etc, but don’t want to lose what I’ve already input
Many thanks

No problem!
You can set events and all config with 3.9.14.
To update to a pro version, and as well to a pro test version, you just install it, and it will automatically update the version without loosing data.
And when using a test version (alpha, beta, rc) i add all the needed code to make update to the next stable possible without any issue.
Best regards,
Cyril
