Replaced (now) former calendar component with iCagenda 3.9.14, which is now live on my site.

Will test 4.0-Alpha on my localhost dev-site tomorrow

Note: i'm packaging the 4.0-beta1 release, which may be available by the end of the week ;-)

Don't hesitate to open a new Pro ticket for feedback on your testing with 4.0 (what you like, if any bug, suggestions... i'm open to all feedback! ;-) )

I’m planning to test a J5.4.0 —> J6.0.0 upgrade tomorrow, then your 4.0-beta1 on that when it’s released

I know I said I’d wait until Beta1, but I tried Alpha1 on both J5.4.0 and my J5.4.0 localhost dev-site upgraded to J6.0.0 this morning...

I’m sure you already know about:
1. Alpha1 doesn’t install on J6 (needs J5.4.99 or earlier)
2. Alpha1 needs the J5 backwards compatibilty plugin enabled on J5.4.0 otherwise theres a “JURI” error.

No need to reply. I’ll test Beta1 when it’s released

Hello,
If you open a pro ticket, i can send you a patch version for JURI (which was already send to first pro user reported this issue). ;-)
And yes, install on J6 is for the beta1, with a full compatibility without the need of the compatibility plugin.
Currently, only 3.9.14 can be installed on J6 with the compatibility 6 plugin enable.
Version 4.0 will be full J6 ready (no need of B/C 6 plugin)

Thank you, but there’s another component which is preventing me from upgrading my “live” site so I’m very happy to wait for the Beta version before testing again

In fact, this is fixed in stable release 3.9.14 and is an issue only on J6. The fact it was not included in 4.0-alpha1 is that it was not patched when this test version was released, and Joomla 6 was not released as well).
