[SOLVED] Cant see&edit events on backend a été créé par engindani
We can create a new event and add it, but we cant edit them when we login backend.
When you click on the events button, its only a blank page. We have tried it with Chrome&IE browsers.

Help needed. Please let us know when you can guide us asap.

BR,
Recai

Hello,

This is a strange issue...

What is your joomla version and your iCagenda version ?

Make sure you have the 2 ones updated (be careful about Joomla 3 to have the latest version, to be sure it is working properly!) ;-)

Cyril

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8
We recommend every user to keep iCagenda updated.

I had a similiar problem, i.e. when i clicked on the events button i recieved a blank hanging page.

In my case it seems to be about the localisation. If i set my admin page language as "english", problem disappears. If i set it back to "turkish", events page hangs :(

I couldn't find any workaround yet. So my admin page is still set to english.
Hope this info is helpful.

Here is some more info about the problem :
This problem does not appear on my local XAMPP server.
When i upload my site to the GoDaddy Server, the problem shows up.
(GoDaddy Server : SQL 5.5.33 / PHP 5.3.24 and my local (XAMPP) SQL 5.6.16 / PHP 5.5.11)

Attached is the image of my local server screen shot.
On my local server events panel does not crash or hang.
Here we may be seeing some hint.
Marked with the red lines, we can see that the month names here are in Turkish but cannot be shown correctly. (i.e. turkish characters "ı" and "Ş" shown with "?" marks.)

Hello!

Yes, i've got the same probleme with Turkish in admin (i've tested all other 33 languages supported by iCagenda, and none of theme have issue, only Turkish!)

So, it's a difficult issue... it means an error in one ore more strings inside turkish translations, giving a problem with a function used in iCagenda events page...

In fact, i not yet understand why a problem of white page only with Turkish language...

I've found the reason of problem about Turkish language in admin :
www.joomlic.com/en/forum/icagenda-help-e...ion-not-working#7301

It was due to an old function to set locale, not used anymore, but giving trouble with Turkish!

Hope this help to solve the issue, and able you to use iCagenda in Turkish! ;-)
