[ROADMAP] Edit own event -- frontend. a été créé par adomeij
Hi,
In our Joomla site we have a group (Calander) that adds the 'add an event' submenu added to the user menu.

Any relogged in registered user in the group 'Calander' can then use that sub-menu to add a new event.
The group 'Calendar' is an IC-agenda approved group so the newly added event is published without 'site admin' inervention.

Which is a good example of -- Works As Designed :)

The question I have not been able to find an answer to is how one of the user added events can be edited by the user when and if they have the need?

I'm very seldom logged in from the frontend and even if I am, I only have my super-user account so I'm never quite sure how things look for ordinary users.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

This is because such feature is not yet developped ;-)

But it is in the todo list of the roadmap : icagenda.joomlic.com/docs/roadmap
Not yet planned.

Today, you can use ACL permissions settings to allow in backend an access only to edit own events in iCagenda (ACL options in global options of Joomla + ACL options in iCagenda).

This way, it is possible to allow a specific user group to access admin, and only to edit own events.

Hope this helps!
Regards,
Cyril

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8
We recommend every user to keep iCagenda updated.

Do you like iCagenda?
I would appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to post a review on JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) .

Would there be any newly assessed ETA on a development like that? That would be something our end users could really benefit from. A very common instance for me is for public meetings. Our users would post a meeting and then come back to the event later on to attach an agenda that wasn't available before.
