[ROADMAP] Using tags a été créé par hkruizinga

Is it possible to use tags on events?
Beside categories we would like to use tags to match content to created events from icagenda.

Hello,

Today not really such system.
But some possibilities are planned in the future (don't know when i will work on it...)

The 2 ideas i have :
- using iCagenda "Features" as tags
- integrating iCagenda with Joomla! core tags component (I will check for this only when i will stop officially to support Joomla 2.5 for iCagenda)

We will dig into "Features" and see if we can make it work with the joomla tags.

any news on this? Here could be find manual, how to implement tags in custom component.

Also Content history functionality would be great.

Hi,

As written in the roadmap, Joomla 2.5 support dropped only in iCagenda 3.7.0, so nothing to be done about this before, but after (no deadline for this integration planned yet).

Hi,

ok, currently this could be partially bypassed by using attributes, however implementation of tags will provide extra level of integration of iCagendo into Joomla core (displaying events in list of tag items).

I just wondered if you were any closer to integrating iCagenda with Joomla! core tags? We'd like to stay with iCagenda, but as more and more of the site we manage works with tags it's becoming a bit of a problem.

Hello,

Nope...

And not planned before 3.7 (where i will remove Joomla 2.5 support).

So, for now, i don't think i will be able to work on this for next 3.7, but maybe for next minor release (if a 3.

or for iCagenda 4.0
I will have to check too the changes done for tags in Joomla 4.0-alpha.

I didn't had time to check all this since then, as for now i'm focused on main core iCagenda development, improvements, and refactory of some major parts...

I will release soon a maintenance release 3.6.13 Just after that i will do a full update of the roadmap, and will add as much as possible information on what is coming up, and what is to be work on later.
