For the last several icagenda updates, I've seen 2 banners at the top of the admin control panel. I didn't think it was a big deal. At first, I thought it was probably related to the bootstrap 2/3 versions that are entangled in Joomla. I've attached a screenshot. Any ideas what is causing the extra banner to be shown?

Hello,

Well this is a strange issue...

Do you have any extension overriding the alert message of Joomla core, or the update system ? (never seen this before...)

And, what is your Joomla version ?

Thank you Cyril; again your fresh eyes helped me think about possible causes. The issue was caused by a package I am using called Asikart QuickIcons. I put this package in for clients who need/want an easy way to get to the functions they use. I will let you know if anything I discover leads me back to icagenda but I'm confident that it's not icagenda that is throwing the duplicate banner.

You're welcome! ;-)

This means this extensions is getting control panel alert messages from Joomla framework, and displaying them too (so duplicated).
Looks like a little bug with this extension ... ;-)
