I am using a component that lacks a calendar module so am using redirects to link to pages. Is it possible to create an option where a URL can be inserted as the destination rather than creating an icAgenda article?

Hello,

Not sure i have well understood, but you want to use the module calendar to open items of another extension ?
Do you mean displaying those items in the calendar (other extension) or creating iCagenda events, and using other extension to display details ?
