iCagenda is using its own categories and can't used other extension categories.

It's not currently in roadmap to do it.
But you can maybe ask K2 team if it's possible to create a plugin to allow this ? (i don't use k2 and don't know its coding as its developers can! )

And, i don't know an event extension doing it, but you can check the JED, as it's possible that one is doing it
