[SOLVED] Installation Problems è stato creato da willsaunders

Hi,
iCagenda seems to be what I have been searching for.Looks very awesome.

My problem:
Installing the Extension I get the error message: "Unable to open archive".
Working with Joomla 2.5.8 and using the iCagenda version 1.2.9 (com_icagenda_v129)
(It's for the first time I have problems with installing extensions.)
Is there a way to get it run?

Can you try to download iCagenda a second time, and try to install the last zip file downloaded ?

Latest version : iCagenda 3.9.8
We recommend every user to keep iCagenda updated.
Don't forget to have your Joomla!™ up-to-date!

Hi Lyr!C,

thanks for your advice. Before I reinstalled iCagenda I asked my hoster to look into the error logfile and to fix the problem in case it is server related. After that installing was no problem any more.

Looking forward to 3.0. When will it be published?

The official stable Joomla is 2.5, and we developpe first for it.

But, in the begin of 2013, i will start the developpement on Joomla 3.0. (actually, module or plugin are easy to adapt to J3, but it's more complicated for component, as it is for iCagenda, so it's better to wait that Joomla 3 is more advanced in its developpement)

You mentioned in 1.2.9 that in 1.3 there will come a registration managemet. This sounds very good. When will this version be published?

I'm working on it, and i've planned it for december...
