Maps don't appear correctly è stato creato da tiapepa

Hi Friends, with the last two updates of icagenda it shows on maps the message as can see viewed on the attachement capture with the message "can't be showed correctly" Anyone knows what's that?

Hello,

Google Maps api requires now an API key which is enable for your site(s)
If you have set this api key (in global options of iCagenda) then the issue may be on Google Maps Platform site, where your api key is not set for your domain.

Hello/i have the same issue.i use joomla 2.5.i have the latest version 3.5.3
i cant find the way to insert google map api key

Hello,

The Google Maps api option was added in iCagenda 3.5.19, so you are not up-to-date.
And support for Joomla 2.5 has ended, so really time to update your joomla installation as well to Joomla 3.

Right now I don't have an API key, as you can see in the capture attachement of icagenda global options, but I remember I had one that it's used on icagenda during the last few years.
As appears in the message Google change their suport and I suppose it's not valid and disapeared. I don't know which was exactly... I try to get another but it requires payment if I understand correctly. If Google wants money I'm sorry but I prefer don't use maps

EDIT- I find my API key, it's from 2010!!! If I put in Icagenda maps appears an error

Well, Google Maps tries to force to require a payment bill, but myself i am able to generate api key without credit card (but they ask me anytime...)

Note too that the platform differs depending on selected language... (i used French the last time i created an api key).

EDIT- I find my API key, it's from 2010!!! If I put in Icagenda maps appears an error

That's a good news, but do you have access to the linked google account to set it ?
What is the error message then ?

The good upcoming news for iCagenda, is that the next 3.8 will integrated Leaflet api using openstreetmap, an open source map with no need of an api key! (i've almost do all the integration, and will be ready for first alpha test version to be released for pro user testing).

I can try to generate another API Key but I think it's a little bit confusing the process. If I use the old one you can see on the capture attachement the message.

Of course, here it is, www.simfoniametallica.com/index.php/agenda, and you can enter any of the items created with icagenda and you'll see how maps appear. Note that first time you enter to the page of the event maps appears correctly, second time or if you go to other event appears "For development purposes only"
