I have installed a new Joomla Site on my local host with version 4.3, PHP Version 8.1.10 and current ICAgenda Version 3.8.18.

After any user clicks register they are getting an error for Required Field: Date.

I have attempted events with both period dates and single dates but none of the events allow users to register.

I have manually registered a user to the event on backend but this is not ideal.

Is there a version compatibility problem and if so is there an older version that I need to be running for ICAgenda to work?

I have also attempted adding event from front end and get the error “The security token did not match. The request was aborted to prevent any security breach. Please try again”.

Is this related?

I created a Joomla 4 site on jdevcloud.com and confirmed the same errors with ICagenda.

I destroyed it and installed Joomla 3.10 on jdevcloud.com and confirmed ICagenda works in every aspect.
I then performed an in place update to 4 after confirming pre update checks.
The Events broke again.

I also tried Versions 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2.
I am convinced that this plugin does not work correctly with Joomla 4.X and Developers will need to resolve the bugs.

I am using the default language en-GB of Joomla. Is there another language you want me to try?

I confirmed both on Fresh install of Joomla 4 or upgrading from Joomla 3 that ICagenda stops registering for Events.

Custom template kept saying 404 error and looked like the URL was not passing item so I changed it back to Joomla 4 Default Template Caseio and it showed that Required Field: Date Error.

I do not have any other plugins or non default Joomla Settings as I have only been interested in fully testing ICagenda to take to a customer.

I have created these Joomla 3 and Joomla 4 Test Sites both on my localhost and in the free jdevcloud.com account to rule out SSL or Communication issues.

There is no Production Data on the Joomla 4 Site as this is just for Testing so If you would need to take a look I could give you a test login.

I plan on destroying these servers after I conclude ICAgenda Testing.

No overrides.

Default lastest stable version of Joomla4 and lastest icagenda. Php8.0.

My site doesn’t have any customization as I only wanted to test the icagenda extension.

My Joomla 3 test site worked and I even tried an in place upgrade to 4. But event registration stopped once it was updated.

All of my joomla settigs are default out of the box.

I have conducted more testing and found the following:

Default Language English(United Kingdom) en-GB Version 4.3.2 does not work with registration for event.
Installed Language English(United States) en-US Version 4.3.1.1 does register and cancel events but has a weird page not found message.

I switched back to en-GB to test registrations again and it would not register like before.
Issue is either with en-GB or version. Joomla did not install 4.3.2 Version for en-US.

I can redirect users after registrations and cancellations to resolve the page not found issue and I will stay with en-US as it is my native language anyways.

I will mark this mesage as resolved but the iCagenda team may want to investigate why the Default Joomla Language en-GB does not work correctly with a fresh install of Joomla 4.

Thank you for helping me resolve this so I can complete my testing and pitch it to the customer.

I really like the registration setup with max registrations but I would like to prevent users from selecting tickets. I will request this in a future release.
