At Transifex I just found some new strings to translate. Most are pretty straight forward, but some are a constant annoyance in every translation situation because they may be translated into different things depending on context.

The problem in translating Joomla is that context almost always is lacking. The translators never see the actual pages where the strings will be seen, but only get a list of disparate strings, often without any sense of having anything to do with each other. (In the Joomla core translation of 67 000 strings I've seen context added once...) This lack sometimes makes localisation into a hit-in-the-dark exercise.

The word 'check' is an example of an often nuisance. It may be a header for a box to check for some reason. But it might also be a button with the text 'Check'. I have no clue what it entails for the last iCagenda update, but the word must be translated into Kontroli or Marki in Esperanto, and these words do mean totally different things. I could make a guess, but that will decrease the quality of the work.

Would it be possible to ask for some context at Transifex for the following strings?

"Anonymous" - noun or verb, as in anonymous person, anonymous remark? (IC_ANONYMOUS)
"Check" - To be controlled, to mark with a check mark? (IC_CHECK)
"Your Information" - with what info does this connect? Event details, profile details, registration details (of account or to event)? (COM_ICAGENDA_REGISTRATION_YOUR_INFORMATION_LEGEND)

It helped, yes. I was about to translate 'check' into Marki 'mark with a check' because that use is the most often, but your reaction saved me as it should be Kontroli this time.

Another one:
Consent to Organiser - is it 'a consent to the organiser' or 'to consent to the Organiser'? I have to choose between Konsenti al organizanto or Konsento al organizanto...

COM_ICAGENDA_LIST_HEADER_LABEL says 'Display option'. That could mean 'Options of a display', 'Options for a display', 'Options on a display', 'Options of a screen', 'Options to show'...
